Airport Limbo

Good news: The flight from LAX to Dallas-Fort Worth left ten minutes early.

Bad news: The flight from DFW to Lexington stayed on the ground for an hour while they worked out an "error in their maintenance logs", which then turned into something serious and the took us all off the plane. Then we waited around for ages, and eventually got put on a couple of different flights. I'm now going to be going to Lexington via O'Hare in Chicago. Instead of getting there around 5p.m., I'll be in some time around 11p.m. I guess on the upside that means one more free can of soft drink on the plane, yay.

The temperature here is apparently 107°F (42°C), so I'm glad the terminal's air conditioned. The few times that I've had to move out of the A/C, it feels a bit like being hit by a baseball bat made out of heat.

Hmm, 42 degrees C, sounds like summer. I miss NZ summers.

Hope you're still having a good time!

That sounds like daily summer life in Texas. You can see why we scoff at people who melt at 80F.

Heh, here the high for the last few days has been 7 or 8 degrees C. I can't begin to imagine what 42 feels like.
