Hello. I'm a old hippie man in Western Canada. History nerd, particularly in the area of science and technology.(So if it isn't 30 years obsolete, I'm probably don't know how it works.)
I grew up in a four generational household, with three generations of British schoolteacher, and about 8 generations worth of books.
Medication helps.
The beautiful lady in my current default icon is Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada,(http://www.gg.ca/)
who has been in the news of late.
Oddly I was often mistaken for a "Female, in her forties or fifties, eminently sensible." when I was using the English word 'luck' written out in cuneiform as my default icon.
Odd place, the Internets.
