That's something that I've potentially got coming up in my future, too. If I emigrate to the United States, should I be aiming for permanent residency or full U.S. Citizenship? The latter would no doubt make it easier for work purposes and all, but I'm somewhat loath to renounce this country. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
