Well, that was interesting.

Good Friday was spent wibbling about the house, playing the silly Bridge Builder game, and playing around with my web server config. Later, I wandered up the street and watched the Hackers DVD with Michael Vincent. It was better than I thought it would be.

Saturday was eventful. Pip wanted to get some people together to meet a guy called Stuart from Auckland who was visiting down here. In the end she couldn't get in touch with him in time, and couldn't get in touch with me in time to cancel. Oops. I went where I was supposed to meet them, and Kat, Adam and Glenn were there, at least. Glenn now has purple contacts to go with his hair. The fair we ambled through had a lot of crap, but watching the blacksmith making stuff with his anvil and portable forge was fun.

Later that night, there was a large and fairly interesting party. There was drinking, and dancing, and new people to meet and talk to. Finally caught up with Stuart - he seems like an interesting guy. Met a lady called Jessie, who was looking for tape to fix her costume with - easily remedied, considering there were a number of people around the house carrying duct tape, for one reason or another. As I said, interesting party ;-)

There were many fun costumes. Some PVC and corsetry and so forth, and one dress in particular that was more holes than fabric. One that was little more than an apron and underwear. However, I was a good boy and not goggle-eyed. It was good to see people enjoying themselves (and each other), though :-)

Sunday, a day of rest. Got home to find the Queen Mum was dead. Spent most of the day in bed, reading. The ginger tom padded into my room and curled up next to me on the bed - a rare occurrence indeed, given that little terror. Curry for dinner, then nothing to do for the evening with gaming cancelled due to various people's Easter commitments. Relaxation is good, though.

[Hmm. Odd. This post doesn't seem to have come up, yet. I'm going to try to re-edit it, in the hopes that that'll help.]
