Is it safe..?
Aug. 28th, 2002 03:09 am*** If you don't like dentists, don't read this ***
My current dentist appears to be far better than the last one. Though I white-knuckled it through the entire op, not once did I smell burning bone from the drilling, nor the inexorable pain of being inadequately anaesthetised. There's something about drills going very near to a semi-drugged nerve whilst vibrating my brain-case that seems to cut through my pain tolerance considerably. My upper gums are still a little sore from the op/local anaesthetic injection, but given the severity of the work that needed to be done it's nothing by comparison. Oddly, the light gun used to fix the fillings gave me a slight headache - possibly some kind of ultrasonic hum on the wrong frequency. So, as far as pain goes, a collection of mere trivialities compared to other recent events.
For comfort after spending such an inordinate amount of my resources upon self-repair, I made purchase of the following musical items and comic works:
Lamb [self-titled]
Headless Chickens - Chickenshits
Goodshirt - The Good DVD Bonus Edition (worth it for the videos)
Transmetropolitan trades 3 thru 5 (one devoured so far)
For some strange reason I appear to be addressing someone on IRC in the register of a man who hurts things badly, then kills them even badlier - exacerbated by the journalistic ranting mode of a bald, tattooed man with a two-headed gecko-eating cat. Curious. Hopefully sleep will come soon.
