It looks like I have quite a weekend planned. A weekend wherein I descend into the depths of geekery. It's Buckets of Dice time again, so I'll be spending a lot of time at the university gaming. Friday night's LARP looks intriguing so far - I haven't had time to get into town and buy a fake moustache though, so I'll just have to go with the facial hair that nature has given me. The role I've been assigned looks like fun - I just need to work on my accent. I do need to find out more about the game I'm supposedly helping to run on Saturday night, though.
There are also a couple of parties scheduled during the weekend - one at a certain flat on Homer Place, which some of the partygoers may have spent more time in than those who are currently living there. It's interesting to see flats being re-inhabited by people in the same social group many years apart, almost as if there were a limited number of stage sets in life...
Silly thought: you know you've been around programmers too long when "having a play with a script" means you're improvising.
