I'm on the HUNT! *fingertwitch*
Sep. 7th, 2005 12:43 amSo, it looks like the first offer of a place to move into that I received seems to have fallen through - while the place and people are great, they've 99% likely got someone to fill that room in a week or so already. Bother.
The more I think about it, though, the more I think that moving out and closer to the university area than Cashmere would be a good thing for me. It means no getting stranded or living by the bus timetable when working long into the night at the lab. It means far less energy expended in going to visit people. It means that people might even get around to visiting me when they say they will. Who knows, it might even improve my health to have a change of environs.
So. Non-smoking computer science student with at least a modicum of social skills, artistic tendencies and GSOH* seeks a flat with at-least-somewhat-complementary tenants for the purpose of cohabiting, conversation that doesn't revolve around Fords vs. Holdens** or the latest NPC match***, and occasional communal cooking or other related activities (has own pots, pans and spices). Preferably close to the Orbiter line, or at least other bus routes.
Anyone know of anywhere/anyone going? Please, let me know. Or let them know about me, if you'd prefer.
* Good Sense Of Humour/Hygiene. Take your pick.
** Unless it's Harrison Ford vs. the guy who played Holden in Blade Runner.
*** Unless NPC stands for "Non-Player Character".
[Bonus points for anyone who gets the reference in the subject line. Except
bigby_wolf, who already has enough bonus points. Bonus bonus points available for finding him a new place to live, too,]
