Quick Election Summary
Sep. 16th, 2005 03:55 pmHere's a quick run-down of some of the NZ political parties, categorised by how their electioneering strategies have affected me:
Labour: Sent me an electorate pamphlet outlining what they'd accomplished and wanted to accomplish in future a month or two back. Sent another one just recently.
National: No flyers that I ever saw. Stupid billboards that are fun to parody. Arseholes driving around my quiet suburb with megaphones echoing around the valley, yelling tired-sounding campaign slogans loud enough to wake babies and frighten small animals.
Greens: One flyer, a couple of days ago. Non-glossy, recyclable card. Only political party to use the magic "please" word when exhorting people to vote for them.
ACT: Phone-spammed me with a recorded message a few minutes ago.
New Zealand First: Some uninspiring glossy flyer a while back, immediately discarded.
Other Parties: Not even on the radar.
Voting tomorrow. Whee.
