Someone was doing a poetry challenge. And with the current weather, heat seemed appropriate as a theme. Some of the words are song titles, just for amusement's sake and because the album in question is something I used to listen to a lot when it was hot. Plus, well, there's that wonderful winterbound woman of mine who's quite inspiring :-)

A mind, dessicated
Dropped from sanity by heat and stress
Held in sequester without siesta
Coiled under the titan arch
And the draft from the windowpane
I'd welcome the snow,
Where even the darkness is something to see
And your heart beating next to me
A dream of love's secret domain
