Travelling plans.
Jan. 11th, 2011 06:37 pmI'm currently trying to arrange for a trip to the United States in May. It's been far too long since I last saw ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
wolfwitch, and I'm damned if I'm going to wait until I've finished this PhD to see her again. The current plan is to suspend my thesis for a month so I don't have to juggle work stresses while I'm away. I've already been that stupid once, and suffered for it. It'll mean an extra hit to the finances with no scholarship income for a month, but I can save for that.
The current plan is flying to the Bay Area in early May, and staying there with friends for a few days. I'm keen to get a better look at the place than last time I was in town, where I was working most days and didn't make it out of the financial district. Hopefully catch up with some people. After that, flying to Lexington for some quality time withwolfwitch. Late May, we're planning to drive up to Michigan for World Steam Expo, and I'll be heading back to New Zealand in early June.
So, definite plans afoot.
