Oh that's right you guys are all backwards down there. ;)

They say that in the Spring a young man's thoughts turn to love

It may be a cliche but it's true, the weather is a mood altering drug.

From Sels (stuck in Autumn and suddenly thinking 30 is cold!!!)

[identity profile] aquitaine.livejournal.com 2003-08-31 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Cool, well do you want to catch up sometime this week? We could do a movie or coffee or both. What do you reckon? I am still on holidays this week so days are good (except thurs). Name your day and we can sort something out.

That's a cool poem. Is it yours? :)

I agree with the sentiment. Now if only the weather would catch up with my spirits...

After a brief search I can report that nobody seems to know who wrote it.

Confusing

I remember when I went home, Christchurch to Cleveland, for a month in 1997, around April-May. It was getting autumnier, even wintrier, no wait, spring again, springier, oh, wait, now back to wintrier. This was much more confusing than moving to New Zealand – I flew out on 21 December, and going from the depth of winter to the height of summer was an easy transition. Annoyingly, Sam's parents had put that fake frost on their windows for me. I wanted to say, "No, you have your own weather down here and I like it, too!" but I refrained, to be a good guest.

Dis woman

Is wondering if it's fall now and I just didn't notice! Doesn't matter, does it. In two days time it'll be spring for me, though from all accounts the weather still sounds fairly cranky.

After 2 months of no rain, I'm looking forward to it! :D

Not from NZ that's for sure...Too bad for me.

I'm from one of those Friends.. of... friends... poking around on LJ. Nothing significant.

That would be a big fat ditto from me about the work thing.
Labor Day here, and rather than close Kinko's and let people go elsewhere for copies, I get to be on my feet for 8 hours.

You shouldn't be surprised, you seem to have many fans.
