It seems that my habit of taking photos of random interesting-looking buildings, textures and landscape features has a use that I hadn't thought of before: reference material for game concept art. It's rather fun when people are pulling together the art bible for a game and you can go "oh, hey, here's a dozen photos from my last trip."

I've never thought of myself as a photographer, but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't put a little more effort into learning some technique rather than just pointing the camera at things and clicking the shutter when it feels right.

I'm taking shots and showing them to my work mates (both did photography, well duh, it is a photo lab, and they are giving me hints). Tis good.

Well, I think it's well worth it - it makes the act of taking photos a lot more rewarding.. Plus, it's fun showing off those photos that do come out well..
