It's nice to see art delving into New Zealand's history in interesting ways.

JORDAN REYNE - The Proximity of Death (Blue Eyed Boy) from Eloise Coveny on Vimeo.

(With [livejournal.com profile] the_magdalene synching Jordan Reyne's vocals, and looking all appropriately 19th Century New Zealand while the singer's off living in Germany.)

Jordan Reyne is awesome! I met her randomly at a party without even realising shes all semi famous and stuff. I said she had cool pants and she said they just came from the German equalizant to Glassons. I concluded that Germany must be a very awesome country.

I liked this. Went looking for more. She wrote a bunch of songs based in Karamea that make me feel homesick and haunted. I can't work out if I like that feeling or not.
