People of Wellington, your attention please!

I'm going to be flying up to Wellington in mid-April for a conference at Victoria University. Does anyone have any good suggestions for accommodation for a few days? Preferably somewhere close to campus or well-connected by public transport.

The conference itself is providing accommodation on the floor of a marae some distance from the venue, but I'm thinking that sleeping in a sleeping bag in a public space may not be the best for actually getting things done while I'm visiting.

Any thoughts, offers, recommendations?

I'm not too sure on Wellington geography, but that does sound like a good travel time. We should talk.

Salamanca is one of the roads that touch the edges of the university campus. It's one of those roll out of bed and you're there places.

And it would be about five minutes walk into town from there too.
