My time in Wellington is much of the way through, now. Soon I shall run out of conference, though there is some CompSci Education workshop stuff to go. I haven't had a chance to meet up with many people yet, but I'm working on some things for Thursday evening and I might have some free time to kill on Friday afternoon, before I fly out in the evening.

Any thoughts?

Things there start at 4? Cool, should be able to hang there for an hour or two before my flight, I guess.

The Harbour Board Room at the Museum of Wellington!

It's the actual room that the Harbour Board used to meet in before they moved to another building! There are headsets so you can listen to re-enactments of famous Harbour Board meetings! You can sit in the Chairman's seat!

Good plan. Was thinking of heading there, so I should certainly investigate this room. And maybe make a pronouncement while there, is it the fashion.

More a case of trying to see as many people who I know as I can in a short space of time than soaking up that Cuba ambience, really. Fidel's itself reminded me somewhat of Java more than anything, I think.
