Have you seen this girl?
Sep. 8th, 2002 01:04 amWell, my quest to find out who these other people reading my diary are has netted a grand total of one person who wasn't already in my friends list. Hmph. Anyway, hi
envy_x :-)
This evening, in an attempt to stave off stir craziness, I travelled by bus to Auburn Avenue, where some friends of mine were having a video evening. Unfortunately due to the logistics of dinner and late-night Saturday buses I miss half of the first film (The Breakfast Club). Since the third film, Labyrinth was starting at 11:30 and I didn't have any other transport home, I left after the second film. Ah well; I have that one on VHS and have watched it often enough anyway, I guess.
So, the middle film: The Princess Bride. One of my favourite films, though I've only seen it a grand total of four times, now - then again, it's memorable enough and people seem to quote it often enough that it remains fairly fresh in my memory all the same. This time around, I got this nagging feeling that the eponymous princess reminded me of someone, but I'm not sure whom.

Something about the eyes, or the Nordic cheekbones, or maybe just the expression - every now and then I'd get this little catch of familiarity. Puzzling. I'm drawing a blank on names, though. Unless anyone has any good ideas, I may just have to ponder some other day until a spark of recognition hits. Ah well; whoever it is who has the familiar features is certainly in beautiful company, whoever she is.
