A while back I injured myself falling off a bike. Recently I had my back partially fixed by massage and acupressure, which identified that there were bits of my back that were distinctly screwed up. I finally got around to booking an appointment with a chiropractor, so hopefully as of 1pm today I can start to get that sorted. Yay.

In the mean time I've been feeling tired, depressed, generally unmotivated and in pain. These seem like good things to try to get rid of. Hopefully I'll be able to get into something akin to a regular sleeping pattern, which will help me sort out the rest of my life a lot better.

On a somewhat brighter note, I have visual and audial confirmation of the physical existence of [livejournal.com profile] edgar now. Took me long enough, didn't it? About fifteen minutes earlier I'd been talking with a friend about some people I'd talked with via the internet who I knew many of the same people as, and seemed to have maybe 0.1 degrees of separation from in real life. (There's a few of them. It's weird.) Wandering downstairs through the UCSA on my wait to buy food, the lady walking down the stairs in front of me turned around and... oh.

Unfortunately, a Morbid who is in a slovenly mood, running on two hours' sleep, is juggling many things that he must remember in his head and is being complained at by a stomach that wants to eat something but isn't sure what, and is suddenly surprised by the sudden appearance of someone he'd just been thinking about not five minutes earlier - such a Morbid isn't exactly the paragon of erudite and witty repartee. Rather, such a Morbid is the paragon of disheveled, flustered people tripping over their words and embarassing themselves horribly. Gah.

To finish with, a culinary note: a bland sour-cream-and-chives pasta-meal-in-a-packet - with added diced feta cubes, tomato relish, Cajun spices, a pinch of bacon stock, and half of the remaining curry leftovers from last night - makes a tasty, filling and almost nutritious brunch. It certainly tasted a lot better than it probably sounds :-)
