I haven't written anything much substantive here for a while, so:
We finished marking EDUC122 assignments early this week. Some of the NWN game modules were in dire need of, well, pretty much everything. On the other hand, some were a lot of fun, and quite well put together. We may have to write something about what made the good ones good at some point, I think.
I went to the supermarket today, and ended up getting caught in the rain for about quarter of an hour without wet weather gear. At least it was warm enough to not be too bad, but I'm now wrapped up with a heater and blanket just to be on the safe side.
Thursday night Shadowrun's going pretty well - we're getting more interesting convoluted plots going on, and the mental gymnastics and roleplaying required to get out of situations where the group is in far too deep are a lot of fun. My character (an uncouth 17-year-old hacker who acts obnoxious to keep people at a distance) is slowly starting to grow up and realise that people are a lot more important to him than he cares to admit. It's a good feeling when you have a character who's not only fun to play, but makes for good story.
After being without a regular income for quite a while (and vaping a lot of my savings in the process), I now have a job working around 30-ish hours a week as a web developer. All going well I may even be able to buy Christmas presents this year.
