Last night's highlights:
* Zombies shambling through downtown Indianapolis. Plus one headcrab.
* Finding a manifesto from that nice Dr. Steel fellow, then later meeting some of the local Toy Soldiers.
* Afro Samurai: a series both silly and serious. Lead character voiced by Samuel L. Jackson. Good for lemonade, and teddybear-headed swordsmen.
* Conan: an old favourite for many swords-and-sorcery geeks. A number of people only stayed up to the "Conan, what is best in life?" scene (I think I prefer the lamingtons of their women, personally).

Today's highlights:
* Catalyst Game Labs are full of awesome projects, including CthulhuTech (Lovecraft + mecha, done in a rather unique treatment) and Eclipse Phase (near-ish future transhumanist post-apocalyptic awesomeness, with influences like Stross, Banks, Macleod, Ellis and more). Or, for quite a change of pace and more appeal to non-hardcore RPG players, [livejournal.com profile] adamjury's Paparazzi! card game.
* Getting to meet a few of the Dumpshock crew (Bull, FlakJacket, CaineHazen, etc.) and hang out with the new Shadowrun line developer Peter Taylor for a bit. The SR world's in good hands there.
* Michael Stackpole's "Books are Dead" seminar. Lots of good stuff in there on writing for media other than dead tree.
* Wandering past the Apophis Consortium booth and chatting Obsidian and music with the guys there (Micah doesn't look as much like Guile from Street Fighter anymore.)

Right, now it's time to dress up Steampunky and see what Union Station's like.
