GenCon, Day 4

Highlights from last night:
* Steampunk-themed dance at Union Station: gorgeous decor, but I didn't last long due to shitty techno.
* Machine Girl is exactly as silly and low budget as expected. Enjoyably Wrong.
* Ended the night playing "Are You A Werewolf?" again. Was the werewolf, again. We had a mega-village of 27 people, with two seers and four werewolves. Didn't win tonight, but I lasted a fairly long time.
Today:
* Finally got my Customer Service issues sorted out, two days later.
* Some interesting industry panels. One started talking about boardgames, through tabletop RPGs and into the computer game industry (two of the panelists started in traditional game design and moved through into computer game dev as well - one works for Red 5 Studios developing for an MMO, but is NDAed up the wazoo. No surprise there. Also ended up talking to a Polish-Canadian independent game designer from Saskatoon.
* The Gamers: Dorkness Rising is excellent. I laughed until I hurt. (Sadly, missed the opportunity to buy a DVD to inflict on everyone at home.)
So, now checked out of my room in the Hyatt and hanging out in the lobby, having found a convenient power point to plug into. My flight for SeaTac leaves in twelve hours, but I'll probably migrate over to the airport closer to the time my ($10/day) wireless kicks out.
It's been good, but right now I know where I'd rather be.
