drcuriositySo, I finally managed to track down the guy I've been trying to get in touch with at the university's new Human Interface Technology Lab, and had a good talk with him in person. There's some very interesting research opportunities that it looks like I'll be getting involved with this year - the kind of stuff that's fascinated me for a very long time, and now I may get to help make some dreams into realities. By complete coincidence, I'll be working in the vicinity of a couple of rather intelligent, interesting and generally nifty friends, too. SocialGroup.geekConvergenceFactor() == high. Now it's a case of getting the requisite bureaucracy out of the way, and I'll be on my way to finding a good topic for a MSc thesis.
And now a silly web questionnaire thing, because I feel in a silly enough mood to fill one out and post it, for once. LJ-cut for people who don't like to bother reading such things.

2.How do you know them? Through KAOS. But her daddy knows my daddy, or something.
3.How old are you? Three months, seven hours away from being 25. More or less.
4.Are you single? Yes. For the forseeable future.
5.Why are you doing this? Because it seemed like an amusing idea at the time.
6.How old were you for your first real kiss? 17.
7.What is your sexual orientation? Heterosexual. I can only think of a couple of people for whom I might possibly make an exception. I believe they know who they are.
8.How old were you when you lost your virginity (if you have)? 21.
9.Where did you lose it? In a field, at night, with light drizzle, in her secret solitary place.
10.How many [sexual] partners have you had? Technically, 3.
11.Have you regretted any of them? No. There are some opportunities that I regret not having, but that's another story entirely.
12.How many relationships have you been in? Including the ones that only lasted two weeks, seven: J, S, T, C, K, R, J. All still on good terms, scarily enough.
13.What was the longest relationship you've been in? About six months. It didn't have an easily-definable end-point - which was difficult for both of us in different ways, I'm sure.
14.Are you in love now? Trying to avoid it, if I can help it.
15.Is it all good? In an ideal world, things might be better.
16.What's the funkiest thing you've ever done/had done to you during sex? I've been quite intuitive.
17.When was the last time you had sex? A fair while ago now. The public doesn't really need to know when. I can still vaguely remember how it goes, I think.
18.When was the last time you said "I love you"? To my parents, yesterday. To a lover, too long ago.
