Last night was a trial, but a success generally.

Fixed bike - small L-shaped spiky bit of metal in my back tyre. Took a bit of extracting, and left a small slit in the tube. Repaired it. Went to the service station to use their pump to get it up to pressure - and the whole thing popped. Ears ringing, I walked it back home, caught a bus, and walked the rest of the way to the party. Weee.

Party was generally good. I still need to infiltrate the playlists more. Was good to hear a Doll Factory track. Not enough people knew the Course of Empire track. I need more iNsuRge - they're wackyfun. I bought too much pizza, which was happily accepted by the ravening hordes. Spagalimis make very nice pizzas.

And then there was "Gothique Soiree" - some friend of Kirsty/Stuart/Nathan/andsoforth called Petra was organising it, I think. She's German. Has lots of Funker Vogt. Doesn't like Rammstein :-) I didn't think I was going to get there, but Kat cuted (fear the mascara!) at Cameron and got a ride, so I tagged along.

There was too much cigarette smoke in the air for me to be completely comfortable, but I danced to a couple of songs and caught up with Kat, whom I hadn't seen in simply ages. She has a neat new job, and is looking forward to having an income, and losing it in the direction of clothing and music. And she'll be a lot more catch-up-able with in future, working across the road and down a few doors. Yay! Nathan did cool dancy stuff on stilts, which was fun to watch, too. Kat's back is also fixed for now, though mine is now a little tenser.

Headed off - got Kat a taxi, since it was rather late and walking 6-7Km home in the middle of the night might not be the safest thing, considering some of the areas she would have had to walk through. Helped the guy working the door make sure a fight didn't get out of hand - some guy had tried to stick his tongue down the throat of a nice young lady (who was somewhat distressed, pregnant, and had a protective boyfriend close by). I now know his name is Daniel, rather than just "that guy I see in town every now and then". And I'm no longer "that KAOS guy" :-)

Walked home. A long way, but I didn't feel like taxiing. And then when I did, it was close enough to not matter. Stopped in to say hi to Cody working his service station job on the way through - the fun of working a station at the end of the boy racer run on a Saturday night. Got home, wound down and slept, circa 7am.

Most excellent

Just so long as you know, you'll always be our KAOS guy. But, ummmm, what exactly is a KAOS guy?
