I've mostly been hermiting at the new flat - I seem to be getting on OK with the new flatmates for the most part. I've only had takeaway food twice since I got here, and I think I'm doing OK on the cooking front - no major culinary disasters or food poisoning just yet.

Tonight's meal was sliced steak pieces marinaded overnight (in white/balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, and a few random spices-that-go-well-with that kind of thing), pasta (large spirals) and beans (kidney, with mild chilli, plus some tomato and roast onion pasta sauce). The end result was quite palatable, though I couldn't eat it all in one sitting because the weather's too hot. Still, tasty and not breaking the bank too much. And yes, I have been eating vegetables too.

Work's been... sporadic. Lots of hurry-up-and-wait. But stuff's getting done. Yay. University hasn't been. I've sent emails and left messages and gone visiting in person, but I guess my timing's bad and the universe hates me, because I still haven't been able to get in touch with my supervisor for the last three weeks or so. Boo. I'll try again on Monday, I guess...

I went into town the other day, and found a N.U.T.E. EP and got a new SIM card for my phone. So it kinda works now.

Hoping to go out to a party tonight, for the first time in quite a while. I've had bad luck the last few weekends with sinus ickiness, muscle cramps and general lethargy. I hope I'm not allergic to my flatmate.
