Well, that was good.

grem_and_drizz are now sharing more than just a LiveJournal name, with the addition of a shared surname. And 'twas a good wedding too, with vows and ritual that suited the couple down to a tee. Were I wearing a hat, it would be off to the pair of you. Instead, I'll just remove my hairties, or something. To the incipient Adams Family ;-)

After the service Nick and I wandered off to the Asian food court on high street for dinner. Thai food good. Coke at $2.50/bottle is highway robbery, though. Managed to move seamlessly from discussing roleplaying into office politics and some of the ways in which large companies do brain-dead things. As you do.

The after-party was fairly good, though lots of people were tired and it started to wind down relatively early compared to some. Still, the live band pleasantly Failed to Suck (though I was disappointed at not being able to hear the vocals as well as I would have liked), beautiful young women managed to manipulate my shoulders into some semblance of relaxedness, and one even complemented me on my dancing (and didn't seem to be tongue-in-cheek about it, either - spooky). It was very nice to be on the receiving end of such things for a change.

A good time for being sociable in general, methinks. And thanks to Nigel and Natalia for offering taxi-space, allowing me to avoid a 10km ride home at the end of a tiring day.

Now my eyes are rather insisting that I rest them, so as to avoid falling asleep halfway through tomorrow. Good night.
