I could sleep for a thousand years...
Apr. 18th, 2004 06:35 pmWell, I think the birthday thing went okay. Some things could have been better, but not too many bad things happened either, and it comes out positive in the balance of things.
Dinner with the family went well this year - parents didn't stress as they are occasionally wont to, and we ended up being silly and enjoying ourselves. I like the way they do portobello mushrooms at the Ferrymead Tavern (or whatever it's called now) - I wish more mushrooms were like that.
I didn't get to see some people I would have liked to, though. By the time I returned home it was getting fairly late, and I didn't particularly feel up to bussing or cycling across the city to either event that was on - especially as I would have arrived only to
have to leave an hour or so later. Still, best wishes to those who were celebrating their respective birthdays.
Time to make something resembling dinner, and make an attempt at getting some work done, even if neither my heart nor my head is in it tonight.
