Right. Dinner cooked and eaten. Filling me up quite nicely with tasty stuffs. Yay!

Over the last few days I've been writing my thesis progress report. My department requires grad students to write one of those every six months, to make sure everything's going properly. Mine's eight pages, which is probably a little much, but I decided to err on the side of too much rather than too little, especially as I've had a few setbacks in terms of hardware not arriving until a couple of months after it was supposed to get there, and all.

Also had a talk with my supervisor and head of department today, and sorted stuff out with respect to the recently-discovered fact that I didn't have an official supervisor for the first half of my part-time thesis work, and how that affects how much time I've got to finish things. It turns out that it doesn't, but I still have more time than I thought I did - I still want to get it done within the previously-organised timeframe though, as (a) I don't want to take any leeway I might have for granted, and (b) I run out of scholarship funds to keep myself living around then, anyway. So, that's a bit of a relief.

On the way home I proof-read this eight page report of mine. Now, bear in mind that it has been organised and written over the past few days when I've had very little sleep.

I found that I should take this out: ','
I found that I should add these: ',' ',' '--' 'absolute'
I found that I should substitute this: "A [...]" for "For each input frame, a [...]"

...there can't be that few mistakes in it. I'm going to have to sleep some more, and find the rest.
