Just got a phonecall from the dental types again. I now have an appointment for a consultation to discuss and schedule getting my wisdom teeth extracted, on the 1st of March. No idea how long I'll have to wait after that, though at least it's progress. I just hope it doesn't screw with my university timetable too much, and that I'm recovered by the time I need to be available for evil Japanese swordmaster flashback filming.

There must be something about that date. I'm scheduled for a root canal that day. The dentist showed me the x-ray and explained the procedure. His nonchalance was reassuring, as I'm sure he's performed thousands, but naturally I'm more than a little concerned. I'll need to go back again after the swelling's gone down to get it all sealed up.

i got mine out by going private if you tell them to fit you in anywhere they can it works best and i was ok after a day but alot better after a week

Normally once you're in to talk about it things move pretty quickly.. I'm actually surprised that you weren't put in the 'urgent' catergory.
I don't think you'll have much time to wait for recovery.. I got my whisdom teeth removed at the hospital and ended up with no swelling and hardly in need of even paracetimol for the pain. All the dental work I had done at the hospital was far and away superior in every aspect than any private dental work I've had.

my sympathies! i think i got lucky, my dentist informed me my already half out wisdom teeth have got room to grow so they wouldn't need extraction. ( iget many evil looks from certain people when i mention that), buuut enough about me, in any case good luck! hope you have a swift recovery!
