So, that was Wellington.
Jan. 23rd, 2007 05:52 pmToday I did not go to work. Instead, I went to the airport, and went to Wellington. I spent an hour and a bit talking to a HIT Lab consortium partner up there about some projects they're doing that I may end up helping out with in the future.
Wellington's weather is as unsummery as Christchurch's - drizzle and mugginess was the order of the day. I had a brief look down Cuba and Manners Malls (which didn't seem all that inspiring at the time), caught up with a couple of people briefly (though sadly missed someone I've been looking forward to meeting for a while), and then headed home again. It just so happened that a guy I knew (Kezza) was on the same flight, so I even got a ride home from the airport.
It's funny how many people I ended up seeing that I knew in a city where I've spent maybe 40 hours of my life (much of that asleep or in transit). But then, that's New Zealand for you.
Now I feel like taking a nap.
