Most curious. It appears that my laptop crashes reproducibly in a most unseemly fashion at a certain point on a Jane Austen DVD. And not even one featuring Mr. Darcy.

Obviously I am going to have to go back to watching something with more testosterone therein, or something.

Becoming Jane, in this case. Borrowing things from my flatmate's collection while I'm feeling poorly and need something to passive do.

I was always much more fond of Jennifer Ehle in the Pride and Prejudice miniseries, myself. Of course now that I go back and look, she seems to have an eerily similar facial structure to my fiancée. Not complaining at all, of course :-)

Jennifer Ehle is indeed awesome. Most of my objection to the recent film remake of Pride and Prejudice is that most of the characters look like modern women in period dress. Their beauty is modern beauty, you know? Whereas Jennifer Ehle (and most of the other characters in the miniseries) has a very... down-to-earth beauty, maybe? I'm not sure what I'm trying to say here, but I find Ehle very agreeable and a far more likely Lizzy than Keira Knightley's candle-like physique.

Clearly you have to immediately watch the complete collected works of John Wayne on your laptop. That will balance it's internal system and solve the problem. That or burnt some incense to appease the machine spirit or your laptop.

Ever notice that Adam Baldwin is essentially playing the same character in both 'Full Metal Jacket' and 'Firefly'. Clearly Jayne is the great, great, et al, grandson of Animal Mother ;.
