Wasn't planning on posting this, but the results are too amusing:
So, my top ten results were pretty much What I Do, in one way or another.
- Video Game Developer [Very Good Match]
Well, I have been paid to write computer game content this year. And I'm tutoring a course on 'em. - Desktop Publisher [Very Good Match]
My sister's done this. I haven't formally, but I did do a lot of web layout work today... - Business Systems Analyst [Good Match]
Would have been a better match if I enjoyed client support more. - Multimedia Developer [Very Good Match]
With a million visitors to the exhibit I helped build in Japan, and the LotR one in Boston... check. - Database Developer [Good Match]
I think developing hierarchical content repositories counts, yes? - Professor [Good Match]
Giving a lecture on Wednesday morning, as it happens. Again, would have been a better match if I enjoyed customer service more. - Website Designer [Very Good Match]
I may just have done a little of this. Y'know, from time to time. - Technical Writer [Poor Match]
Technical writers have to drive and enjoy providing customer service, apparently. - Web Developer [Fair Match]
For some reason web developers are expected to be able to drive, while website designers aren't..? - Computer Programmer [Very Good Match]
Gee, there's a surprise.
So, my top ten results were pretty much What I Do, in one way or another.

Date: 2007-09-15 12:17 am (UTC)Oh wow! Can my son interview you?! He is learning basic flash game development at school and is doing his term's inquiry on programming games. His final task to wrap it all up, is to interview someone involved in the industry. He wanted to interview his tutor (over at Unlimited) yesterday, but dipped out.
It would be so appreciated, if you had the time. You're even in the vincinity :)

Date: 2007-09-15 12:49 am (UTC)My day job is also on Cashel Mall, so probably relatively convenient, too.
As an aside, I think I may know his tutor from university, if it's a redheaded fellow named Steven Linton. The world gets rather small, sometimes...

Date: 2007-09-15 01:10 am (UTC)Yep, it is Steven. He teaches a group from Discovery1 where Ro is, as well as Unlimited kids.
OK..do you have any time Monday? It can be any time during school hours (or after.) He is also there until 1pm on Tuesday, but at George Parkyn on Wednesdays. Anything there suit?

Date: 2007-09-20 08:56 am (UTC)Things have been pretty crazy this week - busy at work and at university - but I should have time on next Monday. We could possibly do something via email instead if it's more convenient..?
